Composition
- Nilavembu Samoolam : Andrographis paniculata
- Vettiver : Coleus vettiveroides
- Vilamichanver : Vetiveria zizanioides
- Sandhanam : Santalum album
- Peipudal Kizhangu : Trichosantes dioica
- Korai Kizhangu : Cyperus rotundus
- Chukku : Zingiber officinale
- Milagu : Piper nigrum
- Parpatakam : Mollugo cerviana
Dosage
- 30-40 ml of the Kashayam 2-3 times a day before meals or as directed by the doctor
- 30 ml of Kashayam along with wither 10ml papaya juice or 2 gms giloy churna twice daily before food or as directed by the doctor.
Contraindications
- Some ingredients especially Nilavembu in this Kudineer might slow blood clotting. Therefore, people with bleeding disorders should not take it.
- Some animal studies on Andrographis Paniculata, which is the main ingredient of this Kashayam suggest it might affect fertility, but these effects are not observed in human.
